This is a Protoss Zealot (for those who don't know), it's the concept art I did for 3D foundations class. It was all done in Photoshop using a Bamboo tablet and a lot of caffeine. I did my best in the short amount of time I had. I hope you enjoy it. Happy Thanksgiving!

Urban Dictionary, what would we do without you...

20. pwned
802 up, 802 down

"Created in 1972 by the 3rd SOG (Special Operations Group) when a Lt. Colonel Hank Munro shot a Vietnamese sentry with a Mk22 Hush Puppy. Due to the tension at the time, he inadvertantly said "pwned" instead of "Delta, move in and eliminate all hostiles." The subsequent death of Lt. Col. Munro as he charged a heavily fortified position lead to the term "pwned" being adopted as short-hand for "that dumbass just got his ass whupped in a helluva funny way."

"Did you see that car crash where 27 people died after someone swerved to avoid a cat?"
"PWNED."

I enjoy reading shit like this, I really do.

I was sick and tired of people bragging about how the game was impossible to beat (including myself). Well, finally someone beat "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce on expert, with a 100% perfect score. No mods, no bots, no screwing around like an idiot with a tennis racket.

Apparently not so many people have seen it because of all the incessant rambling and bad reputation videos with that title have stupidly gained. While you watch this video, I want you to notice how much the camera shakes at the end, dude's fingers in pain and body in shock after finally beating the damn thing.

I don't care for fanboys.

I like when I'm not told the ending to something, but don“t cry when it's spoiled.

Spoilers are bound to happen.

I find Brian Lam from Gizmodo has gained my respect.

His post on Halo 3 swag will explain more.

After some time waiting for something to be done about it, at last a smart person decided to make a real live-action transformers movie, and with a storyline that didn't suck at all. So pretty much I really wanted to brag about having seen the movie already... Last night, June 21st at 10:00 PM, one week before any other preopening around and 2 full weeks before the rest of the planet. I worked like hell in getting all this going together with my family and the people at the Radio station, I spent a night at work to get the flash trailer banner working, fixed up a facebook event, got to fill up a 400 seat theatre, and all this with only one week to work on it (talk about last minute cooperation deals with the film industry). All I can say is I had been waiting for 20 years for a movie like this, and it did not let me down at all... Actually it is better than what I had in mind... and by better I mean the "HOLY LIVING F**K MY EYES ARE BURNING BECAUSE I HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO BLINK!" kind of better. The movie wasn't only action packed, it was also very funny at points and there isn't a single part that is boring. There were people in the movie theatre that had never really seen or even heard of Transformers before, and they loved it. I really recommend this movie, it really filled a gap that needed to be filled, and if you are a Transformers lover like me (And by that I mean the old transformers that came out in the 80's, not the new ones), you'll feel like jumping in your seat at the mere sight of a robot and you'll feel sugar and adrenaline high when walking out of the theatre.

All thumbs up to Transformers
Later.

So here we have one more picture, by far my favorite. I was scared during developing that I really screwed up this picture, but luck smiled on me and this was the result of that day:

I really liked it, but I wanted to give it some more strength and awe...

Yeah, much better, but there seems to be a lot of crap that makes it look dirty, unfinished. what to do what to do...

Yeah baby! No more lamp post, no more treetops over her shoulder, no more line streaking right behind her and no more column corner (with it's respective shadow removed). Now this I really liked, she stands out so much, it's like eye candy. This is one of my finals for this picture, but I still felt like I could do more...

At this point I couldn't believe I did this... Still can't...

That's it!

More to come some other time...

To all who don't know, I am a photographer. I have come back to Spain not too long ago and I intend to continue with this profession. Here is some of my work:

This is a friend of mine in Colrado, a very beautiful girl. She was definitely born for this. All these pictures were taken in Black and White film, so the noise in the image is actually grain from the silver in the film (in other words, it's meant to be there), they have also been retouched to take out disturbances (objects that drift the eye from the originally intended composition of the picture):

1. there used to be tons of leaves lying around in the back, it looks nicer like this I think.
2. This picture used to be huge, I cropped so much of it. Still it turned out to be a great picture. I blurred the background a little too, I think it brings her out more.

3. Quite and interesting one. I tried to see if any other color tones would work on it, but te original Black and white really were the best for this. I also removed many distractions from this one. A definite keeper.

4. Extremely sexy stance, I like this one a lot, her eye being half covered up really adds energy and strength to her look.

5. I specially like this one. It was horribly off centered, off balance and... well let's just say I was crap at taking this picture. After studying various fixes, I decided to give up on following the rules in the book... I decided to offcenter it even more and give it a tone that I didn't like... turns out... really do like it.

6. The same picture as #2, but with fun added

7. I really like this picture. this is one of my favorites. It shows how fearless she is towards a camera, and how dedicated she is to her work. It really is the picture of pictures. If it weren't thanks to her, I wouldn't have fallen in love with this profession.

that's all for now. There are so many more pictures to come. My favorite one will be the last. More to come soon.

I just want to say one thing...
DENVER RULES!!!!! <3 FSCKING YEAH W00T COMO MOLA AGROMENAUER ELECTRIFICATION FOR DE PEEPOL IN DE NAIT!!!! ESTORENAUER HFSIUE3023508RF*(!@$#!*&^)$#.....

Ok, so Thanksgiving in Denver was awesome, it was the shit, great... I've been happy since I got back from there and I have decided that is where I'm going to want to do my Masters after I graduate from SLU. Sadly, this is going to be no time soon. I got my family to come over from Spain somehow, don't ask me how I did it, I just did... And we all met up with my american side of the family, and I tell ya, It wasn't small. Let's see... head count... we were about... 17 or so counting the 2 newest members of the family (I got 2 more nephews!!!! (well second nephews, they are my cousins' not my sister's))

IT WAS JUST SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now the problem was the following, I gained probably something like 50,000 pounds. I never knew so much food could fit on a table, and for that, I didnt know so much food could fit on a friggin' plate! My God! And my grandfather kept joking around about how there wasn't enough food.

Well, anyways, to make a long story short (cause if I wrote the whole thing, LJ would have to put up 3 new servers since I would take up all the space in the rest of them) it was the best thanksgiving I've ever had in my life!

Man I love my Family.

Yeah, it sucks, but it's just what the doctor ordered to get over a shit load of crap (or a crap load of shit) going on in my university and in my classes. Anyways, I still have to do a 10 page draft to hand in tomorrow in communications. Thank you for a wide selection of topics to write about... BITCH! Damn I hate that class. All this only to be a graphic designer (which I already am more or less, cause I've been doing logos, designs and websites for companies for the past 4 to 5 years damnit!!!). I really hate this city.

The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert.

After they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound asleep.

Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says, "Kemo Sabe,
look towards sky, what you see?"

The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of stars."

"What that tell you?" asked Tonto.

The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute then says, "Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three in the morning. Theologically, it's evident the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it sems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What's it tell you, Tonto?"

Tonto is silent for a moment, then says, "Kemo Sabe, you dumber then buffalo. Someone has stolen tent."

So Last night I went out with some friends to this place called Moxy, had a few drinks there, had fun. It had been a long time since we had gone there. Not too much of a comotion, we were all talking crazy talk, usually happens after a few martinis. Somo of the people wnet home soon afterwards, but some others decided to go to pepper lounge. I was in the group that decded to go to pepper lounge. It was Rachel, Meg, Jennifer, Maisa and me. well, wierd stuff started happening once we arrived. The place was extremely full, and the cover charge was 10 dollars instead of the usual 5 dollars. That blew. Maisa reminded me some time earlier that she owed me money so she treated me to getting into the place, which I was thankful for, but really did not like cause I'm the kind of guy that was taught by his family in the art of 'never let a lady pay for your ticket, cause it is not something a gentleman should do.' So the first thing I did after getting in was tell her to come with me towards the bar and tell me what she wanted (also she owed me $7 and payed $10 at the entrance, so then I owed her $3). She asked for a vodka tonic, so I asked for a vodka on the rocks and then asked the waitress to add some tonic. I got one too. We seemed to be working in circles cause then Maisa said it was too expensive and that she would have to owe me money again. At that point I told her it was ok, and that she didn't owe me anything. When I said that she looked at me with a cute sort of confused face like saying 'what the?' :-)

We also saw a friend there that I hadn't seen in a long while, and somehow decided to undertake major changes in his appearence. to our amazement, he shaved most of his head and left a mohawk, and the funny hing is that is was a mohawk that was... combed neatly... don't ask, but i swear that's what it looked like, neat. The fun didn't last too long since due to the friggin' Day light savings, the club closed earlier, way earlier. It was a whole ripoff and it seriously pissed all of us off. We finally left and got back to the university. Once we got home, we left again to visit some friends that were doing a rally for life or sumthin', and Franz joined in on the trip (amazingly, he was still awake). Well, we mainly started going around in circles for about 2 more hours before heading back home.

Long story short, it was a fun night, but it could've been way better if this city just didn't suck. I'm happy though, looking forward to doing it again some time.

Today someone we all loved left to a better place. To him I want to say thank you for everything you have acomplished to the benefit of all, thank you for being one of the strongest people I have ever known, thank you for moving our hearts and souls, thank you for making me believe once again when I didn't, thank you for being a hero to me, thank you, thank you. You have been in my life for nearly 21 years. Thank you.

We love you, and we shall never forget. Thank you Juan Pablo II

So today we had a small get together over at a friends place, and it was one of those get togethers that you really want to have every once in a while, some drinks, some friends, some music, nothing too loud, some chatting, I thought it was excellent (no, it wasn't an orgy, if there are any assholes thinking about it). Anyhow, I got to see an old friend that I hadn't seen for a few years> She always used to say, "DANCE JACK! DANCE!" It was great seeing her again. Also, I got to see some people I hadn't seen in a while, I thought it was great, and it was the kind of thing that I needed to cheer up.

Well, Happy (late) April Fools to everyone, It was a great day today, and I didn't get fooled. I guess that's no fun, I actually think everyone completely forgot about it being april fools.

Oh well, take care all, I'll see you all around.

It really sucks when one of your best friends is in a different country, you know it's their birthday and you can't do anything about it except putting up a lousy post. It really sucks when that friend is one of your parents (yes, not many people have their parents as friends, I do).

So I would really like to say, happy birthday mom, Te quiero muchisimo y no puedo esperar a verte en poco tiempo. Mil Besazos

Lately I've been going to the gym a lot and it's starting to get really into my system. It's really freaky cause I've been going for so long now that if I don't go one day, the next day I feel like shit. I guess I can consider it a good sign, it was about time I started working out seriously, and that will keep me at it. I've also cut down a whole lot on smoking (and I'm sure that many people around the world have also done it after watching constantine). I use to smoke more than half a pack a day, now I just smoke one a day. My goal is quitting once I reach Spain. In other news, my room is tidy once again, that's about the 6th time in 2 semesters that I've had a major cleaning session. I have to control myself when I get home and not put all my shit on the floor. I sometimes don't even know why I bother to clean my room if no body is going to come anyways since the rest of the house is trashed due to the damn parties my housemates have every week and they never clean (yes, the floor in my flat is black, thedishes have been sitting in the same place for weeks and I can't even walk barefoot to get to the bathroom, which it 2 meters away from my door). That's why I spend so much time in the language houses I guess instead of inviting the people from there over to my place. Well, as I mentioned before, I've been going to the gym lately, and that's just where I'm going now. Take care all - Jojo out
